ms sim is splitting us up. so tomorrow i'm going for orchestra. cos three days clash. tomorrow, 5th and 7th of july. so. i'm going for orchestra tomorrow. then on 7th i don't go for orchestra.
becos i don't go for band on monday anyway(5th's a monday). but then tomorrow they wanna do phototaking leh. so how. and the phototaking is like. one for orchestra. then individual sections. hello what section? tuba got only two people. bassoon only one. so take what take? two people take together a bit wrong leh. and then the bassoonist. take by herself is it? poor gal. and what if yao cong never come again. forget it la. and another thing. my instrument how. i dun wanna bring it all around on wednesday morning. ok fine nevermind i shan't whine. i'm stealing stands tomorrow. two from my section. and have them borrow one from eupho. then two from ms sim. by force if necessary. heh.
michelle was saying that she felt sorry for wen-bin cos he was being dao-ed. i mean. he was? not that i noticed. becos the first thing he came and told me was 'is this your tuba? you're kinda sharp.' yah so not everyone has perfect pitch like you. but if the conductor's not saying anything. then so what. i mean. i can't possibly be in tune all the time. i'm not a percussion instrument -and then again some of them like the timpani do get out of tune. so there. even your cello kayz. sometimes that gets out of tune too. i didn't bring my tuner so don't demand that i be in tune. i was fine during tune-up. altho i think everyone shld tune at the same time not individual sections. because what section. yao cong didn't come. i was playing the tuba all by myself. so fun rite. then some of the notes i played wrong fingering for p&c(pomp and circumstance not permutations and combinations) becos i'm so used to the c major score. Then i can't possibly pitch a e-natural-g-b-natural all in high range in a row. it's wrong. and too high.
and those running notes. look here kayz all you composers. strings were made to run. woodwinds were made to run. to some extent. but brass was not made to run. we were made to fanfare. so how do you expect the tuba. one of the biggest clumsiest instruments of all time. to be able to play running notes in quick succession? ok i know there are like. great tubists out there. tim buzbee is one. he can play 'flight of the bumblebee' on the tuba. buzbee. bumblebee. get it. anyway. i can't. cos i'm not a professional. get over it. i'm gonna be mispitching left and right. but i'll make it with practice. and today was the. what. first playing of the pieces. it can't be perfect. so yeh. keep your comments to yourself. till i'm properly warmed up. i mean. most of my copland score is rests. of course i'll sound out of tune when i play p&c. it's only natural. i mean. sit around as much as i do. then try to play a wind instrument. and perhaps you'll understand. oh wait. i forgot. you're too thick in the head. so you won't understand a single word i just said. but nevermind. cos i'm happy now. that i have a chance to say my piece.
learn. will you. no one is perfect. even the best make mistakes. and i'm not the best. so mistakes. to some extent. are expected. can't change that. so yeh. think about it.
