Saturday, July 03, 2004new layout thing and youth day
need to find a way to get rid of that ad thingy at the top. as you've probably noticed. i've changed my layout. so this is the third time i've changed it. but this is nice. now if only i can get some song to match. hah. well. it's nicer than guanz's at any rate. but then again. she made that one herself. it was a good but pathetic attempt. but then i don't even dare to try create my own layout. i just download and tweak. maybe i shall insert my own pictures next time. when i have the time to do all that nonsense.
the youth day thing was good. i heard someone say 'it's youth day and we have old people here. isn't that so ironic?' in a way yes. but then again. we're supposed to cheer them up. and make them happy. so there. my class arranged some crafts thing for them. snowmen things. made of styrofoam balls. yay. some creations were quite cute. hahah. we just had a good time talking to them. xueqi especially hahah. she spent all her time talking to the one she was 'assigned' to. but they were all sporty la. especially the female ones.
shall start from the top. when the old folks arrived they were taken on a tour of the school. which was not very convenient considering the fact that the sec 3s were blocking the corridors with their stalls of food and such. the sec 2s and 1s weren't helping. we recieved word that we had an extra elder to take care of. a last mintue thing. we were almost on the verge of panicking. we didn't have enough souveniors. we didn't have enough materials for craft. turned out we didn't really have to worry because two of them refused to even budge. they complained of leg aches. so ah well. we let them stay at the foyer with weilin and gang for accompaniment. there was busking going on there. so entertainment was taken care of. the remaining seven came up to class.
food food food galore. a huge tupperware of mee fen. yay. there was a lot of other food

- crabsticks with seaweed
- fried crabsticks
- packet drinks
- jelly
so we were set to hold quite a party. i went around offering jelly to the teachs. basically cos ms ang said she'd give me chocolates. so i thought i'd be nice and give her some jelly. hahah. so she was holding this guitar when xuemin and i found her. she took one and promptly dropped a piece of peach on the floor. ^^; mrs liew and mr yeo were leaning against the rail outside the staff room and quickly became my next targets. altho mrs liew was like 'keep for the old folks' i insisted. hahah. because i made a whole lot. so she took. and then mr yeo took. eh it's very nice ok. they liked it ^^ so i went to find our dearest mep teachers. ms sim and ms ee also eat. but not before asking if it was free or if they had to pay x) of course it's free. guanz asked the same question too. please i'm not so hard up for cash!! hahah
i was kinda worried that the jelly wouldn't be finished cos the old folks didn't really take a liking to it. but i didn't have to worry. becuase my classmates loved them. the strawberries were the first to go. then the mixed fruit. then before i knew it. they were all gone. yay! hahah. in between i sneaked out of class to visit 4/6 where things were slowing down too. talked to vera xinxian donna and xuemin for quite a long while. then went to find michelle who was trying to throw ping pong balls into the new classroom mailbox thing. mm yeah. then ran around with huifang. went back to 4/6. wasn't a disaster like mr yeo predicted. in fact i think people were enjoying themselves. quite a lot. so yeah. then i went back to class. to find that some people from other classes had brought their old folksies to my class! shalina said my class was so much more fun than hers. so here she was. hahah. yay. we were playhing music from sheena's mp3 which was rigged up to the pc which in turn was hooked up to the speakers. we didn't even have to turn the computer on. which was good.
i'd like to think the old folksies had a good time. i mean. mrs liew kinda praised us. so. yeh. we did good. real good.
went to tampines mall. and ran into mum. oh of all bad luck. hahah.
today was o level chinese listening exam day. ms lui was kinda screaming at people who weren't quite in full uniform. so. we got this examiner guy who spoke with a kinda lisp. didn't fully comprehend what he was saying. but somehow he managed to get the message across. it wasn't too bad. then we went to bugis. my whole section as there. ah now this we planned. hahah took neoprint. hmm i haven't got my share. anyway. we went to watch tkss practice. cos today is finals. then slowly our small congregation grew. and we shouted encouragements to them. so yay. band was okay. except ms sia was in a foul temper. the band went to crash the gate at someplace today to watch the marching band finals. i didn't go cos of tuition homework. must do homework. >_<
enough for today i suppose. something smells goooooood.
can't wait to go back to nusso!!
